FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Practical answers for planning corporate headshots, outdoor portraits, school picture days, cap and gown portraits, and professional sessions.

Practical answers before you book.

These answers cover the planning details most likely to affect timing, setup, delivery, and the quote.

Can Gareth bring the setup to our office, school, or organization?

Yes. On-site workflows can be planned around the location, number of people, schedule, background needs, and how the images will be used.

How long does a team headshot day take?

It depends on the number of people, background setup, review process, and how much direction each person needs. Fast single-background workflows are possible, but the schedule should not be so tight that people cannot settle into the camera.

Do outdoor headshots work for professional use?

Yes. Outdoor and location-based portraits can still feel polished and professional. They are planned around light, privacy, weather, and the final use of the images.

Can you photograph school yearbook photos?

School portrait days can be planned around student flow, administrator needs, schedule constraints, image delivery, and respectful direction.

Can you photograph cap and gown portraits?

Yes. Cap and gown portraits can be scoped around students, timing, families, school logistics, and delivery needs.

Is styling support available?

Styling support can be recommended or added when the project calls for it, especially for leadership portraits, coordinated team days, or people who want more wardrobe guidance.

What should I wear for headshots?

Wear something that fits well, supports the intended use of the image, and feels like you. Bring options if you can. The styling guide has more detail.

How does retouching work?

Retouching scope should be agreed during planning. The goal is a polished image that still looks like the person, not a version that feels artificial.

How are images delivered?

Delivery depends on the project. Headshots may be prepared for LinkedIn, websites, staff directories, school needs, press use, or other defined formats.

How is a project scoped?

Every project is scoped around the number of people, location, setup, image usage, timing, and whether styling support is included.

Are sessions LGBTQIA+ friendly?

Yes. Direction is grounded in respect for gender, race, sexuality, body type, age, disability, neurotype, and professional background.

What if I hate being photographed?

You are not expected to know what to do. Gareth gives specific direction for posture, expression, hands, shoulders, and small adjustments so the session feels more manageable.
